Pleasant Valley Family Newsletter
October 23, 2020
Our mission is to empower and inspire a community of lifelong learners and leaders!
Hello Pleasant Valley Families,
Our focus at Plesant Valley Elementary is to continue to provide our students with the high-quality education they need and deserve, regardless of the instructional environment. We need your continued support and collaboration in this effort as we put our students first. We will continue to focus our attention on our students and improve the quality of virtual instruction.
I want to share that you are not in this alone. Please continue to lean on our administrative team, unbelievable teachers, and supportive home liaisons as we work to navigate the next week of virtual learning. Remember that Pleasant Valley is the school it is today not just because of our students, staff, and community but also because of the incredible support staff throughout PV that has helped make it so.
Next week we will be using our Distance Learning Schedule again. And whether we are in Distance Learning or Hybrid Learning, always refer to the Monday Communication from your child's teacher. Tuesday, October 27th, will be "RED" Day.
All students need to be logged in at 9:15 am on Tuesday-Friday. If your child is not in attendance (logged in), parents and guardians MUST call the office at 440-885-2380 before 9:30 am to report it. If your child is going to be tardy (not logging in for am sessions) or "leaving" for the day (not logging in for a later scheduled live teaching session) parents and guardians also must call the office ASAP to report it.
Annual Student Refresh Forms were mailed out at the beginning of the school year. This is NEW for PCSD families and will replace the "Blue Emergency Card" that all parents are required to fill out. Thank you to all of the families that have completed this! IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO, PLEASE DO ASAP! This new form can easily be completed on a smartphone, tablet, and/or computer. The Annual Student Refresh Form must be submitted for each student in your family. These forms are critical in our efforts to ensure student safety and maintain communication with you.
Please call (440) 885-2380 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm as our office staff will assist if you have any questions. My highest hope for all of the Plesant Valley community stays safe and healthy.
Very Sincerely,
Stephanie Boka, Principal
