Lincoln Middle School -- Weekend Update
Lincoln Families,
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!
I want to thank everyone for helping our IAR testing run smoothly by arriving at school on time, rearranging appointments, and ensuring all were rested. Your partnership is important to us and we are grateful for all of your support.
There are many things happening at Lincoln and around the district. Please take a moment to read through the Weekend Update and as always, please reach out if you have any questions.
In partnership,
Eric Larson, Principal

Navigating Social Media
In partnership with Officer Greg Sill of the Mount Prospect Police Department, Lincoln will be hosting a parent information night where we will be discussing commonly used social media platforms among our students. The goal of this presentation is to provide parents with tools to navigate the complex world of social media, suggestions for having conversations with your child about social media, cyberbullying, and the mental health impact social media can have on our students.
In addition to Officer Sill and myself, we will have members of the Lincoln staff participating in the discussion. We hope you will join us as we seek to provide you with the tools and resources to help you navigate and understand the social media world.
The presentation will be held on Thursday, April 13 at 7:00 pm at Lincoln Middle School in the LRC. Please RSVP using this link so we know who will be in attendance, and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at elarson@d57.org.
Lost & Found Reminder
Lincoln Middle School Hosts YA Mystery Writer, April Henry
On Tuesday, April 4th, Lincoln’s 8th grade ELA classes will meet New York Times bestselling Young Adult (YA) mystery writer, April Henry.
April Henry will be promoting her newest YA mystery novel, Girl, Forgotten, in cooperation with The Book Stall in Winnetka, who are sponsoring her visit. Since April Henry’s titles are Young Adult (YA) which often feature more mature situations and language, please let Lincoln’s LRC Director, Mrs. Michelle Walsh, (mwalsh@d57.org) or your student’s ELA teacher, know if you’d prefer your student opt out of this event.
