Parent-Teacher Conference Registration Closing Next Thursday, Feb 29
Naperville 203 Parent-Teacher Conference scheduling will end on Thursday, February 29, at 3 p.m. Spring conferences will be held virtually, via Zoom, on Thursday, March 7, from 5-8:30 p.m., and on Friday, March 8, from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. In the case that you are unable to participate via Zoom, please contact the teacher directly.
Student Presidential Scholar Candidates
Eight students from Naperville 203 have been selected as candidates for the United States Presidential Scholars Program. NCHS: Eric Gu, Diya Kannan. NNHS: Michael Fleming, Yikai Liu, Anna-Maria Olarov, Aaryana Parekh, Julie Piot, Krishna Pothapragada. The program was established in 1964 by executive order of the President to recognize and honor some of the nation's most distinguished graduating seniors. Up to 161 U.S. Presidential Scholars are chosen annually. All Scholars are invited to Washington, DC in June for the National Recognition Program, featuring events and enrichment activities including the Presidential Scholars medallion presentation during a White House sponsored ceremony. Keep up the great work!
Elementary and Junior High Assessment Test Notification
Beginning Monday, March 4 through Friday, March 22, Naperville Community Unit School District 203 students enrolled in third through eighth grade will be completing the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR). In addition, between Monday, April 1 and Tuesday, April 30, students in fifth and eighth grade will be administered the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA).
NNHS Morning Huskie Preschool Openings
Naperville North's Huskie Preschool has openings in the morning session this semester! The morning preschool meets every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday during periods 3 and 4. Children ages 2.5-5 (must be potty-trained) can attend. Please see the registration form for more information and reach out to Meghan Donovan at mdonovan@naperville203.org with any questions.
Black History Month Showcase
Naperville 203’s SUCCESS family organization is hosting their annual Black History Month Showcase. SUCCESS is planning an entertaining, interactive, and educational program. All are welcome to attend.

Illinois 5Essentials Survey
As a parent or guardian of one or more students attending a Naperville 203 school, your feedback is requested via participation in the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey. The purpose of this online survey is to understand your perceptions in the areas of connectedness, satisfaction, interaction, involvement, and quality. The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, March 29.

Youth Mental Health First Aid Class: March 7
Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches adults (parents, teachers, caregivers, etc.) how to assist adolescents (age 12-18) facing mental health or addiction challenges. The course covers common issues, adolescent development, and a 5-step action plan for crisis and non-crisis situations, addressing topics like anxiety, depression, substance use, psychosis-related disorders, AD/HD, and eating disorders.
