-Random Acts of Kindness-
We got the whole school together to talk about Random Acts of Kindness.
Students and staff are sharing the things we are grateful for
and looking for ways to be kind and helpful.
❤️ That is the goal not just for the month of March, but in our daily lives. ❤️

Skate Night Was a Glow-y Blast This Weekend!

Thank you to our amazing volunteers and everyone that came over to glow with us.
All profits will help fund our 1st grade activities. :)
Popcorn Friday Hosted by Mrs. Bloodworth's Class!
Note for popcorn days...
Please be sure to send money and orders with your students
in the morning to make sure they can get their popcorn. ❤️
We always do our best to accommodate late requests but just be aware
that we don't always have extra bags to do so.
Our popcorn volunteers are quick and efficient and amazing and
make your popcorn bags to order, so there isn't always enough leftover.
If you do need to put in a last minute order, please get it in to us by 9am.
Thank you for supporting our classrooms!

-A Note From the School Nurse-
February is National Children's Dental Health Month!
Here are a few reminders and tips to help prevent tooth decay:
1. Brush teeth 2x a day for 2 minutes. Consider using fluoride toothpaste
and continue to supervise/ assist with brushing till your child is 7-8 years old.
2. Help your child floss or clean between teeth daily.
3. Visit the dentist regularly. Children should see the dentist
every 6 months for check-ups and cleanings.
4. Encourage children to eat a healthy diet and try to limit
sweet drinks, sticky candies, and sticky snacks.
5. Talk to your child's dentist about applying sealants to chewing surfaces of teeth,
especially when adult teeth come in. Also ask your dentist about fluoride treatments.
6. Try to avoid sharing utensils with your child,
you can transfer cavity causing germs.
Lets work together to teach kids the benefits of good oral care
so they can develop healthy habits and build a healthy SMILE to last a lifetime.

Ms. Jane's 3rd grade dreamed up these imaginative animals!
They are paired with their physical traits and their names.
What would it be like if these animals inhabited Earth?
(It would be pretty cool.)

Ms. Maggie's Tips and Tricks
We need to clarify to our children the difference between bullying and being rude or mean.
“So when someone says or does something unintentionally hurtful and they do it once, that can be rude or mean. But, when someone says or does something intentionally hurtful and they keep doing it, targeting you constantly, even when you tell them to stop or show them that you’re upset, now that’s bullying...That’s not ok! you must report it to an adult at school and talk about it at home”
