Field Day 2022 is Coming!
We began sharing about Field Day with our kiddos last week, it's so fun to hear them getting excited and asking questions about it!
Half of the school will have about 2 hours of Field Day in the morning and the other half will have their 2 hours in the afternoon. We are working with the PTA on using the opposite half of the day to provide some of the Boosterthon rewards that the classes earned, and giving the classroom teachers some time back. This collaboration will be possible with the help of adult volunteers, please take a look at your calendar and see if you're able to give some time :)

Field Day is an outdoor event and all families are welcome to come experience the rainbow of fun!!
A Message from BCE PE:
Hello Bear Creek Families!
Last week our 3rd-5th grade students continued with FitnessGram, while our K-2nd grade students had a long handle striking implement day learning how to use hockey sticks, bats, and putters. While assessing 3rd-5th grade sit and reach, all grade levels are getting a six station rotation that includes fitness, striking, and outdoor education. We haven't had a safety discussion the past two weeks, so this week we will have a review of the three safety concepts we've already covered. Next week we will begin indtroducing the last three safety topics.
FITNESSGRAM:
Most classes wrapped up the PACER last week, and we've moved onto the sit and reach assessment. We should be able to continue with push up and curl up assessments and wrap up FitnessGram assessments the first rotation in May as planned on the calendar below.
REMINDER: FitnessGram is NEVER a part of PE grades, just a fitness measurement. Click on the BCE FitnessGram Website button below for more information on FitnessGram.
Thank you for your continued support!
Ms. Schultz and Ms. Hazard
