Another HUGE Grant Success!
I was so busy last night that I forgot to take pictures! If anyone took a few, please share them with me!
Safety/Security Walk-Through
They provided a couple of suggestions that we could implement right away and a couple of ideas that might be coming in the near future--like putting room numbers on the backs of your interior doors and on one of your exterior windows. This would allow first responders to find your room very quickly.
We will not receive a report that focuses on our school. We won't even receive a NPS report! Instead, they'll take all this data and, in about a year, we'll see data from all the schools in Nebraska. It won't be broken down by district or building.
Outside Recess
It's possible that it may warm up throughout the day. Wednesday, it was only 6 or 7 degrees when K went to recess, so they stayed inside. However, by 12:20, it was 11 degrees, so 3rd and 4th graders got to go outside.
So check the temperature--especially if we've been inside for a couple of days in a row! You may be able to find some time to get the kids outside--even if it's just for a few minutes in the afternoon!
Adjusting Para/Intervention Time
Thank you for being so flexible and "team players." I know it's sometimes a sacrifice or a hassle to give up that time, but our priorities have to start with student needs first.

Gives me some good ideas in case we have a snow day on Monday!
Monday's PD Day
However, if we do cancel due to snow, I do have some activities I can work on (see video below)....
