MACUL Conference Rates Increase on February 28!

Dr. Kristen Mattson, author of the ISTE book Digitial Citizenship in Action! and a 2018 ISTE Emerging Leader lead a successful #miched Twitter chat on the topic of Digital Citizenship on February 6th. Those who participated took away some great ideas and commented that they can't wait to meet Dr. Mattson at MACUL on March 20, 2019! Her afternoon session will be a hands-on session on the topic of digital citizenship. This is an important topic for all educators and administrators. You won't want to miss it. Register here.
Coming Soon: April is School Library Month!
Every year the American Association for School Librarians (AASL) sponsors School Library Month in April to celebrate "school libraries as open, equitable, and personalized learning environments necessary for every student's well-rounded education. The 2019 theme for School Library Month is "Everyone Belongs @ Your School Library!" and the spokesperson is author Dav Pilkey. Designing or Renovating your Makerspace

This hands-on workshop will be led by Nicholas Provenzano, Makerspace Director at University Liggett School in Grosse Point Woods and Angela Loewecke, Interior Designer with Demco. If you are looking to create a Makerspace or update an existing space within the next 12-18 months, this pre-conference session is for you. Nicholas and Angela will provide an overview of the renovation of the University Liggett School Makerspace that opened in the fall of 2018. The latter half of this session will provide an opportunity for you to begin working through your Makerspace project plans with guidance from Nicholas and Angela.
You will leave this pre-conference session with a plan on how to tackle your Makerspace project.
