Please be prepared to discuss:
- Your Shared Vision Statements
- Have you held the first meeting with your organizational leadership team? (Please have documentation such as running notes, including date, time, and those present.)
- What voices have been included in decisions that have been made thus far?
Stakeholder Voice (SV)
SV.01 - Organizational leadership identifies key stakeholder groups and invites them to become a part of the shared vision process.
- Why is it important to include stakeholders?
- Have we considered students, parents, business leaders, elders, and staff to be part of the shared vision process?
SV.02 – Organizational leadership deploys process so stakeholder voice plays a vital role in the development of shared vision and aligned decision and aligned decision-making.
- Have we used a variety of tools to create a safe environment to “hear” from stakeholder representatives?
Creating & Developing Shared Vision (CD.SV)
CD.SV.01 - Organizational leadership benchmarking and asking key questions to develop a vision for their organization that would meet the need of their learners.
- Why is it necessary to have a shared vision (what is our burning platform or reason to change)?
- What might the ideal school look like?
- What are the best processes to build a shared vision?
CD.SV.02 – Organizational leadership ensures shared vision is created with identified focus areas (eg. Instruction, curriculum, character and transition skills, technology, learner needs, etc. ) that support a highly effective traditional system transitioning into an early college.
- How do we ensure that we are building the best organization for the future?
- Are we researching skills needed to support life-long learning? College/Career Redlines and/or 21st-century skills?
- Are we asking local businesses/employers about skills they look for when hiring?

As suggested each of you is probably a coordinator, a specialist, or a facilitator of this project but you CAN NOT do this alone. Since this is new for everyone, it cannot be done alone. Each of you will need to create a district-level team. (You may want to consider building this team at/from the high school level.)
Each Team should include the following:
- Principal
- Assistant Principal
- Counselor
- Scheduling (Power School Data Manager)
- Technology Specialist
- Specialist (AG, AP, Exceptional Children, ELL)
- Parent(s)
- Student(s)
