Dear Parents,
Dear Hairgrove Families,
It’s unbelievable to see that the end of the school year arrived so quickly. I want to thank you all for the support and patience you have shown this year. We appreciate you more than you could ever know for supporting your children and the Hairgrove staff.
I would like to thank our hard-working and caring faculty and staff who have made a huge difference to our students. Their commitment is outstanding and our kids are the beneficiaries. Thank you for providing rich and engaging, well-rounded experiences for our kids and for knowing that education is about wonder and fostering curiosity, and developing social skills needed to succeed. For these, and a million other things, we are truly grateful.
Please make sure your child attends school every day until the last day of school, May 31. We have some fun activities and dress-up days planned for the last month of school!
I wish you all a very happy, safe, and enjoyable summer. Please be sure to take time as a family to talk, play, and read together.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Lee

Car Riders
Morning Car Riders:
Please say your goodbyes and have your child ready to exit the passenger side of the vehicle. This will help keep the line running smoothly and efficiently.
Afternoon car riders:
Please have your car rider number displayed from the rear view mirror when you enter the parking lot and leave it hanging there until your child is safely inside of your vehicle. Having the number hanging allows it to be easily seen by all staff members and keeps the car rider line running smoothly and efficiently.
One last note from Nurse Pollard:
End of the Year!
I cannot believe it is already the end of the year! This has been such an AMAZING year here at Hairgrove! I am sad to say I will not be returning next year and will miss all the smiling faces I have come to know so well. I have loved every second of being a Dolphin at Hairgrove. Thank you for a great year.
I hope everyone has a beautiful, safe and healthy summer!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
* The school year is coming to a close. There are a few reminders to get us prepared for the summer as well as the next school year:
Please remember to pick up all student medications from the nurse’s office, as they will be discarded on the last day of school, no exceptions. A reminder will be sent out the week before the last day of school. The deadline to pick medication up is May 31, 2024 at 4PM.
Parents of Pre-K students going into Kinder: Make sure your student is up to date with their 4-year-old vaccines! It is a requirement for them to have these to attend the first day of school! Letters will be sent out as reminders if your student is not up to date. To help speed up the process please send me proof of vaccines by the end of this school year. The deadline for students to receive their teacher assignment is August 8, 2024. You can email me proof of immunizations to the school email: Hairgrove@cfisd.net
ANY student that is not up to date with immunizations will be sent a notice, if proof of vaccines are not received by August 8, 2024, the student will not receive their teacher assignment.
CFISD requires that a student show acceptable evidence of vaccination prior to entry, attendance, or transfer to a child-care facility or public or private elementary or secondary school in Texas. For more information on Immunizations see: https://www.cfisd.net/en/parents-students/health/immunizations/
For government information about required immunizations check out: www.cdc.gov
* Pre-K and Kindergarten parents please continue sending a pair of clean clothes in the student's backpack in case of any accidents.

Music Notes
Hello, Hairgrove Family and Friends!
It’s hard to believe this school year is coming to an end! We will be closing out this year in the music room reviewing all we have learned by doing some of our favorite music room songs, games, and activities. We will also be performing for our teachers this month as we show our appreciation for them and all they have done for us this year! But don’t tell them, it’s a surprise!!
Our 4th and 5th grade choir will be performing on Thursday, May 9th at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. You are invited to see their show!
I look forward to singing with our 5th graders at their graduation at the end of this month. I know I will see some of you there!
I hope you all have a wonderful summer. I can’t wait to see our younger dolphins again in August!
Take care!
Mrs. Courtney Cruz
P.E. Update
A NOTE FROM THE GYM:
Just a friendly reminder to please talk with your student about the importance of self- control in large group, especially the gym. Although it is one of the most fun areas of the school, it can also be dangerous if students are being reckless because of the number of people in a class at a time. Also, please make sure your student is wearing the appropriate footwear on their PE days, because our classes are very active and injuries can occur. The kids have been enjoying basketball for the last couple of weeks, it’s been fun to watch! We have really been working on the position of the point guard, and watching middle school game clips in class to help them understand spacing. They have been doing lots of drills for practice, and they are really doing well! Field Day is coming up, so be on the lookout for updates about that special event!
Thanks!
