Principal's Message
Dear BES families,
Over the weekend, we experienced a flood in one of our buildings on campus due to a pipe that burst in a restroom. The families of the students' classrooms who have been affected have already been notified with an alternate plan to have them on campus on Monday in order to prevent any disruption to their learning. We have a restoration company on site and our district team is working on next steps.
If you have any concerns or questions regarding the flood incident, please do not hesitate to reach out to me personally or the front office. We are committed to keeping you informed and addressing any inquiries you may have.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your cooperation as we work towards restoring normalcy on campus.
Warm regards,
Allison Fortney

Celebrating Autism Awareness Month: Building Understanding and Acceptance Together
As we embrace the month of April, we also embrace Autism Awareness Month—a time dedicated to fostering understanding, acceptance, and inclusivity for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This month provides us with an opportunity to celebrate the unique strengths and perspectives of individuals on the autism spectrum, while also increasing awareness about the challenges they may face.
At BES, we believe in creating an environment that embraces neurodiversity and supports the needs of all our students. Here are some ways you can join us in recognizing Autism Awareness Month and promoting acceptance within our community:
Education and Awareness: Take the time to learn more about autism spectrum disorder. Understanding the characteristics and experiences of individuals on the spectrum can help cultivate empathy and support within our community. Autismawareness.com is a great resource to help educate you and answer questions about autism.
Promote Inclusion: Encourage inclusivity in our classrooms and beyond. Celebrate the diverse talents and abilities of all students, including those with autism, and foster an environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
Embrace Differences: Celebrate the unique strengths and perspectives that individuals with autism bring to our community. By embracing diversity, we can create a more enriching and inclusive environment for all.
