Return to School MOU Update from Bargaining Chair, Grant Clark
Your bargaining team continues to negotiate with the district on the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic and the reopening of schools as it relates to distance learning and eventually hybrid and full return. Our number one priority is to protect the health and safety of our members and students - now and always.
Your bargaining team is Liz Cowgill, Kathleen Faas, Peggy O'Meara, Jorge Cierra, Adam Panish, Grant Clark, and Penny Sevoian - CTA staff person.
Next meeting is July 22.

Racial Equity Affairs Commitee
The Racial Equity Affairs Committee (REAC) monitors representation of ethnic minority members within CTA and provides ethnic minority input on CTA membership programs and policies.
REAC makes recommendations to the CTA Board of Directors and works at having an Association that is balanced, all-inclusive and equity-minded – with the overall goal of addressing the needs of California’s diverse student population.
REAC is composed of representatives from the following caucuses: American Indian/Alaska Native, African American, Hispanic, Pacific Asian American.

NEA RA (National Education Association's Representative Assembly) was held the first weekend of July. Shelly Ehrke was elected to serve as a State Delegate. Claudia Bautista-Nicholas, Barbara Ransom, and Vincent Bernota all attended as Local Delegates.
