A Word from Your Friendly Neighborhood Principal. . .
Parents,
This week is all about good sportsmanship and competition! Last Saturday we hosted the 19th annual Western Loudoun 5th Grade Sportsmanship Handball Tournament here at RHES. We had 30 fifth grade students compete against 7 other western Loudoun elementary school students. They learned about the importance of teamwork, healthy competition, and above all GOOD sportsmanship! A special thanks to Mr. Lose and Mr. T for their efforts to put it all together. The PTO also provided concessions for the event! Thank you PTO!
Tonight the RHES Volleyball team will be going up against Emerick ES in our annual staff volleyball game. This is a great family fun event that brings our two school communities together for a fun night! We hope you will join us to help cheer on the team! For those with sensitive ears (like me), make sure to bring some ear plugs! It gets LOUD!
Did you receive an email from LCPS about the Family Survey? Please take a few moments to respond to that survey and provide us your feedback. More information can be found below.
Remember, no school on Monday! It's a teacher work day!
Sincerely,
Andrew Davis - Principal

LCPS Family Survey - We Want Your Feedback
We need to hear from you!
The LCPS Annual Family Survey will be emailed to you on March 13. The LCPS Annual Staff, Student and Family Survey is the most extensive and influential feedback survey conducted by Loudoun County Public Schools each year. We use the results to assess the learning climate in our building and make plans for the following year. We want to hear from everyone so that we can make the best decisions for ALL our students!
The parent/family survey will only take a few minutes of your time. You will receive an email from Dr. Daniel Smith that will include a link to take the survey. You will be asked to fill out a survey for each school in which you have a child enrolled (elementary, middle, high or program). For more information go to https://www.lcps.org/2023survey If you do not receive a survey email by March 15, contact research@lcps.org.
Thank you for sharing your opinion with us!
FEBRUARY GOLDEN BEAR AWARD WINNERS
We are excited to announce our ROUND HILL GOLDEN BEARS for the month of February! Each month, a student from every classroom is nominated to receive this award. All students chosen for this award model our 3 R’s at Round Hill Elementary - they are Responsible, Respectful, and Ready to learn each and every day!
To celebrate our Round Hill Golden Bears, each student nominated is announced on our Morning News Show. In addition, they will receive a certificate that includes the reasons why their teacher chose them for this award along with a golden bear paw charm. Please join me in congratulating our Round Hill Golden Bears!
