A Message from the Principal
Lauren Meeks
Welcome Back, Mustangs!
What a great week of learning we have had! Our students have done such a great job getting back into the swing of school and our sweet kindergartners have done awesome job adjusting to a new way of life! We are so proud of all our students!
Thank you all so much for your patience as we continue to adjust our morning drop off and afternoon pickup processes. We understand that the lines are long and waiting is a pain sometimes, but please make sure to slow down and pay attention to our crossing guards. There have been some occasions where unsafe driving has occurred. We want to make sure all our students are safe during times of high traffic.
Have a great weekend!
Lauren & Maggie

Invention Night
Parkside PTA is the recipient of another national PTA grant, this one supplying $5,000 worth of Little Bits kits to host an Invention Night! These kits will then be turned over to the school for teachers to use with their students. This event will be held in the Parkside Elementary Gym on September 26, 2019 from 5:30 PM to 8 PM. Pizza will be served at 5:30 PM. At 6 PM there is a PTA General Board Meeting in the library. During that time, the kids will be watching the demonstration from the Robotics team. The rest of Invention Night, with Little Bits and Make and Take stations, will begin at 6:30 PM. We need your help in order to make this event a success! You do not need any experience with Little Bits to help! Thank you!
Sign up here if you'd love to be a part of the fun!
Literacy Partners
Help our Parkside students discover the joy of reading!
We need Literacy Partners to read with our students on a weekly basis. Volunteers in this program will be paired with 2 students in K-3rd grade to read with them individually for 15 minutes each. This is a weekly 30 minute commitment for the school year.
If you're interested in information on becoming a Literacy Partner, please contact Jerenda Huang at americanchinagirl@gmail.com for more information.
