A form of agriculture that specializes in production of milk and other dairy products.
Commercial or subsistence
When dairy farming started it was mostly for substance, but with advances in technology most Dairy farms are large scale commercial farms who sell there product to big companies who sell it for them.
Environmental effcts
Meghan gas from the cows are breaking down the ozone. Another environmental effect the cows have on the earth is they are starting to pollute and contaminate the water supply.
Importance
Dairy products are important because they provide you with many nutrients and vitamins that help you stay healthy and become stronger.
Personal story
Freshman and Sophomore year I worked on a heifer raising farm. This farm raised the calfs into heifers and then shipped them out to a larger farm who milked the cows.
LCD or Mdc
Dairy agriculture is both Mdc and Ldc. In America most dairy farms are big commercial corporations with lots of cows. On the other hand the most dairy product producing and consuming country is India. The average Dairy farmer in India owns 1 or 2 cows. Woemen in India primarily milk the cows while men find other incomes.
