District Newsletter HHASD
Vol. 6 Issue 2
District Administrator Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this newsletter finds you well and filled with excitement for the developments underway in the Holy Hill Area School District. As we navigate through the next several months, I wanted to take a moment to share some thrilling updates with you.
First and foremost, we are embarking on the journey of selecting a new District Administrator. This is a pivotal moment for our community and District as we seek a leader who will uphold HHASD values, inspire students and staff, and continue to foster an environment of academic excellence and inclusivity. Rest assured, the selection process will be thorough and transparent, with the Board giving utmost consideration to what is in the best interests of our students and the community at large.
Additionally, as we approach the spring season, it's time for our students to showcase their hard work and dedication through state Forward testing. While assessments are just one aspect of our educational journey, they provide valuable insights into our students' progress and areas for growth. With your continued support and encouragement, I am confident our students will rise to the occasion and demonstrate their knowledge and skills with confidence.
On a brighter note, I am thrilled to highlight the remarkable achievements of our students. From academic accomplishments to extracurricular triumphs, our students continue to shine brightly in every endeavor they pursue. Whether it's participating in athletic competitions, concerts, art displays, displaying acts of kindness, or demonstrating leadership qualities, each achievement is a testament to the incredible talents and potential of our students.
As partners in your child's education, your support and involvement are invaluable. I encourage you to stay engaged with our district, attend school events, and communicate with your child's teachers to ensure their success. Together, we can create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.
Thank you for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your children. It is a privilege and honor to serve the Holy Hill Area community, and I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
Warm regards,
Dr. Tim Onsager

Open Enrollment for the 2024-2025 School Year
The Public school open enrollment program in Wisconsin allows parents to apply for their children to attend a public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside. The regular open enrollment application period for the 2024-2025 school year begins on February 5, 2024, and ends at 4:00 pm on April 30, 2024. The best way to apply is online. The online application is available at https://dpi.wi.gov/open-enrollment during the application period.
The Holy Hill Area School District will review all Open Enrollment applications received during the application period and approve applications within grade levels that have approved open seat availability. These decisions are based on the Holy Hill Area School Board approved number of seats available as determined at the January 15, 2023 school board meeting for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
Updates from Our PTO - H.H.O.P.S.
HHOPS Scholarship
HHOPS annually offers up to three (3) scholarships of $1000 each to former Holy Hill Area District students that are graduating from Hartford Union High School. The purpose of these scholarships is to provide graduating students with financial assistance to the college or technical school of their choice and to recognize and acknowledge their achievements as exemplary, well-rounded students. Applications are due by March 31, 2024.
Donations Needed!
HHOPS is requesting donations for the Celebrate Families virtual auction held in April. If your family has any interest in donating a basket or item to auction off, we would welcome the contribution! Or perhaps your employer would be willing to donate. We are hoping for a great offering this year so we can beat last year's fundraising goal! Proceeds raised will go towards the purchase of new playground equipment at FLES. All donations are tax deductible! If you have any questions, please email hhopsworks@gmail.com.
As always, thank you for supporting your district PTO!
Middle School Lead Volunteers Still Needed!
Parent volunteer(s) are needed to help assemble our middle school basket per grade for our upcoming district-wide fundraiser, Celebrate Families. As a lead you will be picking a basket theme, compiling items & donations from other parents, and assembling your basket for the online auction. If this seems overwhelming, please feel free to team up with another parent to complete. HHOPS will also send you helpful information to ensure your basket is successful. Your support in coordinating our auction baskets allows us to have a successful auction. This year is especially important, because the online auction funds will be used to help purchase a new playground for FLES.
