Important Meeting Notes! Everything Needs to Be Reviewed ASAP
We are reorganizing some of the work space here, so there will be some disruption in cataloging and processing. Your new books from yesterday's meeting will be ready for you in August. Anything you are planning to send in that you need before year-end, send in ASAP and mark that you need by what date.
Reminder: Pam Swaidner will be out on medical leave off and on for a while. If you need us to provide you with an online profile to order materials from Baker & Taylor or Follett, I need to know that ASAP.
We agreed that May 30th was the date when schools would be removed from the drop down list of pick up locations that patrons see on our website. If you are closed so little during the summer that you want to leave your name on the list, I need to hear from you ASAP. I will send you written instructions on this in more detail next week.
FREE BOOKS!!!!
Our Indy Library Store was overflowing with juvenile and TEEN books of all varieties. Seventeen schools picked up more than 50 boxes of free books for their schools. We will catalog 38 boxes of books from the Library Store to be waiting on the shelves in August. Another 12 boxes came from books donated by vendors at the Public Library Association conference. It was wonderful to hear you say how excited your students and teachers would be to see all these new books!
If you didn't make it to the meeting, there is a non-profit day you can still attend. It's on Monday, May 12th.
