Weather
Weather vs. Climate
- weather is what condition of the atmosphere
- climate is how the atmosphere behaves
Trade
Trade come from south to north, moist and warm breezes
westerlies
Between thirty and sixty degrees latitude, they appear to curve to the east they move west and they come from the northern hemisphere
Easterlies
they begin from the east
The weather front is where two weather masses with different temperatures combine together but do not mix.
H stands for high pressure and a cold dry front
L stands for low pressure and a moist front
land vs sea breeze
The water takes a longer time to heat up than the soil. Therefore, if someone lives near the beach they will feel the breeze at night cooler than it is in the day.
Tornadoes
We learned how a tornado can be caused and where they tend to occur. We also learned some of the instruments they use to measure the conditions of a tornado.
