Happy New Year
The keyword for 2020 is Growth. Mary and I want to see growth in your children as we partner together in helping your children to have a solid foundation in Christ. As the PreSchool classes continue to build a foundation in bible stories and simple spiritual truths. You as a PreSchool parent have the greatest opportunity to expose them to God's love. Consider starting a daily time to reading the Bible to your PreSchool child. If you need a suggestion for a good preschool Bible. If you need any help picking out a PreSchool Bible for your family don't hesitate to ask.
In The Dock, I want to reemphasize the InterNet Quiz for your children. Doing this at home is an opportunity to spend some time with your child talking about the Bible. You also get to see what your child is learning. I am going to be placing an emphasis on this in the coming year.

Happy New Year.

Elevate goes Upside Down!
Starting in January the children will be going to upside down town.
Come with us to a very strange town, a place where people live their lives upside down. Now that doesn’t mean the people there stand on their heads or that you’d climb to the ceiling to get into your bed. It’s the wrong choices they make that we call “upside down.” And some of their choices are the strangest around! Some of the people choose not to forgive. Others give up quickly and that’s no way to live. There’s a woman who gives warnings and tries to be nice, but she neglects to follow her own advice. There’s a man named Jack who refuses to go back. There’s a worrisome man with panic attacks. There’s a friend who hears advice both good and bad. That story ends up with an entire town mad! There’s a tale of a couple who refuse to help others. But that’s not all the stories, I can think of one other. There’s a man with the coolest device anywhere! But though he has many, he refuses to share. Yes there are many lessons that teach and confound. And we’ll learn from the Bible many truths quite profound. When we don’t live as God wants, we live life upside down. So travel with us, my friend, to Upsidedown Town!

The Kids Dock!
In January we will continue our study on the Holy Spirit. We will not be introducing any new questions this month as most of December was spent on Christmas lessons.
As we look forward to 2020 I want to let you know what we will be studying during the year. After we finish up on the Holy Spirit we will then cover God, Prayer, and Worship. Any children who were here in 2017 when Mary and I started at CFA will be exposed to this material for a second time. Which is all part of the repetition is the key to the learning aspect of my curriculum.
Here are the questions that were introduced in December.
What is the Fruit of the Spirit?
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things, there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23
How does a fruit tree produce good fruit? Good soil, good fertilizer, and water.
How do you produce good fruit? Put good things inside of you.
What are the good things we can put inside? The Bible, prayer, songs, and other Christ-like things.
How does the fruit of the Spirit grow in you? More good things more good fruit. More bad things more bad fruit.
