Math
This week in math we will be talking about the metric system and customary units. We will explore how to measure weight, liquid, height, time and temperature. Learners will participate in multiple hands on activities to help them understand how to use measurement tools.
Homework will be in their green or red folders and due Friday. If they have questions throughout the week, please encourage them to come ask me. I'd love to help!
Science
We will also be continuing to learn about our solar system.
Just think "My Very Excellent Mother Just Served Us Nachos".
Be sure to ask your learners what I'm talking about!
English Language Arts
We will also continue with Book Clubs. Ask your child about these "clubs". They seem to really be enjoying them and are learning so much from one another!
For word work, learners will complete different activities to practice their spelling words.
We will also be organizing and writing a story to tell why. Choices: Why do you like a favorite place? Why is coming to school every day important? Why would you make a good teacher for the day? Why do you enjoy a favorite hobby/activity?
