Meet Mr. McCaulley
Family:
-I am the oldest of three; younger sister, Sarah, and younger brother, Michael; my parents are Tom and Kathy
-Girlfriend of 3 years - Amanda
Where did you grow up and what high school did you attend?
-I grew up in Sturgeon Bay and attended SBHS
Which college did you graduate from and where did you do your student teaching?
-I graduated from UW - Stevens Point with a Bachelors in Fine Art. I also attended UW - Green Bay to earn my Art Education License. I student taught in the Sturgeon Bay School District with the high school art teacher, Nicole Herbst, and the middle school art teacher, Sally Guger, in fall of 2016.
Do you have a pet?
-I have three Mini-Dachshunds (wiener dogs!) - Fun Fact - ‘Dachshund’ is German for ‘Badger Dog’ - GO BADGERS!
Do you have any hobbies?
- I have lots of hobbies!- just ask my girlfriend, Amanda..
I definitely stay busy and my favorite hobbies include; enjoying the outdoors, hunting, fishing, music and playing guitar, art, sports, sightseeing and traveling.
What’s your favorite meal?
-I literally eat anything, but I love cheese and eat it all the time. Must be a Dairyland thing!
What’s your favorite book?
- That would have to be the most recent book I read, Black Elk Speaks, it is a very powerful book about Native American culture and I really enjoyed it.
Do you cry or get scared at movies?
-I get scared but I keep it all in and don’t show it; if I watch something that is scary I tend to squint my eyes and then afterwards I usually lie in bed thinking about it, making myself even more freaked out.
In middle school, were you a nerd, jock, musician or outdoors man?
-In middle school I was very quiet and shy, I was on multiple sports teams and enjoyed the outdoors; I was an artist too but not much of a musician at that time.
If you could have dinner with any three people living or dead who would it be?
-I would like to have dinner with Vincent van Gogh and maybe get a painting out of it! Dinner with John Lennon would be cool, I’d like to pick his brain about the world and philosophical stuff and then he could play me a diddly. Lastly, dinner with Will Ferrell would be fun.. and hilarious.
If you really knew me, you would know that…
-I really don’t have favorites at all.. with anything.. I am very easy going and enjoy many things. Also, I tend to be quirky/silly when I’m alone and I talk to myself.
A genie grants you three wishes. What are they?
1) I would wish to travel the world and see as much of it as possible.
2) I would wish to be a rock star.
3) I would wish that there was more love in the world - may be cliche, but we really need it.
What advice would you give your 13 year old self?
-Do things that aren’t always in your comfort zone and always be confident in yourself. And I would tell myself to pick up a guitar.

Upcoming 6th Grade Field Trip
7th Grade Field trip
The seventh grade will be going on a field trip to NWTC in Green Bay and a Timber Rattlers game on Tuesday, May 15. Students will explore the campus and learn about programs they might attend post high school and then enjoy a baseball game. It will be a great time!
We will leave school at 8:05 and tour NWTC from 9:00 until between 10:30 and 11:00. After the tour we will be attending a Timber Rattlers game in Appleton from 12:05 to approximately 3:00. We plan to return to school at approximately 4:30. Students will need their own transportation home.
To reduce the overall cost, we bagged groceries at Pick n’ Save on February 3rd and will be bagging again on Feb. 24th. If your child is available to help please email Mr. Smullen at msullen@sbsdmail.net.

Any Wisconsin resident in 4K to grade 12 may apply to attend a nonresident school district under the open enrollment program.
