Counselor Corner
For the month of April students will focus on Creativity. One way to think about Creativity is “using your imagination to create something new or solve a problem.” Each grade level will explore opportunities to use creativity during their lessons.
Kindergarten through 2nd grade will focus on identifying their emotions and practice applying strategies to regulate their emotions.
3rd grade students will practice sharing their emotions and expressing what they need.
4th grade students will focus on positive self-talk, which is the ability to notice unhelpful thoughts and turn them into more helpful thoughts
5th grade students will focus on stress management which includes noticing the body’s reaction to stress, creating plans and practicing strategies to manage or prevent stress.
