Softball Starts Play Thursday in State Tournament
Hewitt-Trussville Softball will travel to Oxford Thursday and Friday for the AHSAA 7A State Tournament. The Huskies will compete with seven other schools in a double-elimination format. HT will open the event at 9am on Thursday with a game vs Baker.

Softball Sweeps Through Regional
The Huskies are heading back to the State Tournament! Hewitt-Trussville Softball (45-2-1 overall) went undefeated in the East Central Regional on Friday to book a spot in Oxford. The Huskies opened the day with a 12-2 victory over Central Phenix City. HT got off to a quick start by scoring five runs in the opening inning. Coach Taylor Burt's team had five singles and a walk to put the runs on the board.
The Huskies would add six more runs in the 5th inning to put the game away. Anyce Harvey, Jenna Lord, Madi Mitchell, and Katelyn Murphy all had multiple hits. Rylee Tyree drove in three runs. Sara Phillips was the winning pitcher as she tossed six innings and allowed just one earned run.
Later Friday, the Huskies beat Auburn 11-4 in the winners bracket game. Jenna Lord singled in the first inning to score two runs. Rylee Tyree added a RBI hit to extend the lead to 3-0. In the 2nd inning, Lord doubled off the wall in center to score three runners. The Huskies would add five more runs in the 4th inning. Lord finished the game 2-4 with five RBI's. Hannah Dorsett had two hits and scored twice. Tori Hyde pitched a complete game and struck out five batters.
Boys Soccer Players Named to All-Metro Team
Two Hewitt-Trussville Boys Soccer players were named to the Birmingham All-Metro Soccer Team. Landon Surratt was named First team and Seth Hall was named Second team.

HTHS Boys Basketball Tryouts
Tryouts for the 2021-2022 HTHS Boys Basketball teams will take place May 24-26. Rising 10th-12th grade students will tryout from 3:45pm-5:15pm daily. Rising 9th graders will tryout from 5:30pm-7:00pm daily.
Students must be 100% on Dragonfly paperwork prior to trying out.
Students interested in trying out should complete the google form below.
Youth Wrestling Camp Begins June 1
Hewitt-Trussville Wrestling will host a Youth Wrestling Camp June 1-June 4. The camp is open to any students that will be in Kindergarten-6th Grade for the 2021-2022 school year. Please see the link below for all information about the youth camp. There is a QR code on the form that you can use to sign up.

Youth Baseball Camp Begins June 7
Hewitt-Trussville Baseball will host the 2021 Youth Baseball Camp beginning June 7. The camp will conclude on June 10 and is open to students that will be in grades Kindergarten-8th Grade for the 2021-2022 school year.

Hewitt-Trussville Football will host the 2021 Elite Passing Academy June 21-23 from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Hewitt-Trussville Stadium. This camp is for TCS students going into 4th-8th grade. See the flier below to sign up.
Husky Hoops Tip-Off Camp
Hewitt-Trussville Boys Basketball is scheduled to host the Husky Hoops Tip-Off Camp beginning July 12. The event will run July 12-July 14 from 9am-Noon each day. The event will be held inside Bryant Bank Arena at Hewitt-Trussville High School.

Girls Flag Football
The Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) recently announced that Girls Flag Football will be a sanctioned sport in the Fall of 2021. Hewitt-Trussville High School plans to field a Varsity Girls Flag Football team if enough students are interested.
If you are a female student in grades 7-12 and plan to tryout for the Varsity Girls Flag Football team, please complete the google form below. More information will be shared when available.

Any rising 7th-8th graders interested in running cross country should sign up using the google form below.
Evaluations for MS runners will be May 24 from 3:30pm-5pm at the track. This will be an opportunity for new runners to learn about the sport prior to summer workouts.
