Principal's Message
Schools rarely experience a dull moment, and this week was certainly no exception to that! I want to give our students all the credit in the world for their response to our school evacuation on Tuesday in response to smoke associated with our HVAC unit. They handled the situation safely and were attentive to their teacher's and administration's instructions throughout the process. I also want to express our thanks to the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department for their immediate and thorough response to investigate and address the situation. Their response time was so impressive and we are very lucky to have such an awesome team of experts here in our community. And one last thank you to our staff for their caring, efficient, and informed response to the situation, for taking care of our students, and for responding appropriately throughout the event. Hopefully, next week is a little quieter by way of surprises around here :)
Our students participated in safety training this week focusing on how to respond to a crisis and threat of violence here at school. While these conversations can be challenging, this evacuation was a great example of why we practice safety drills in our schools, so that we can be prepared to respond in case of an emergency. Another shout-out to our students for their behavior and attention during these grade-level meetings. I was definitely a proud principal this week!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Take care and Go Tigers!
