Kindergarten Alphabet Parade
Our kindergarten students have been working hard all year to learn their letters and sounds, and they were excited to show off their knowledge! To celebrate the completion of Unit 1 in Fundations, we had an Alphabet Parade for all of our kindergarten classes.
Each student was assigned a letter, and with the help of their families, they decorated their letter vests. Students were encouraged to put anything they could think of that began with the letter they were assigned on their vest. Students loved sharing their vests with their classmates and were excited for the building-wide parade.
The kindergarteners ended their day by receiving a certificate of achievement, and the third and fourth-grade classes lined the halls and cheered them on as they walked by in their letter vests!

Counselor Appreciation Week
Next week is Counselor Appreciation Week! We are excited to celebrate our guidance counselor at Midview West. Miss Haight joined our team this year but was previously one of the district's social workers. Our students love her social-emotional lessons and having the opportunity to work with her in small groups.
If you see Miss Haight in the carline this week, tell her happy counselor appreciation week!
Check out what our students had to say about Miss Haight:
- "Miss Haight is patient and kind." - McKenzie, 4th Grade
- "She helps others learn more about their emotions." - Jacob, 4th Grade
- "Miss Haight is always there for me." - Tessa, 4th Grade
- "I like Miss Haight because she is a good listener." - Travis, 3rd Grade
- "Miss Haight has a pretty smile and always says good morning!" - Fin, Kindergarten
