Do You Need to Report an Absence?: Please email Rene Kulasa and include any official medical notes. Also, email your child's teachers.
Kindergarten-3rd graders gathered at Coffman Park last Friday to socialize with friends and meet the Mayor! It was so nice seeing students in person. Although their school is remote, they are connected as a community of learners. Mrs. Fannon and Ms. Faulk are planning Paint the Plow on October 6th for 4th graders. These experiences are often the ones students remember most. We will continue to plan community gatherings throughout the school year.

4th Grade Paint the Plow

Last year middle schoolers painted the DCS Virtual snow plow. See their artwork below.

Learning Coach
It is important to encourage your child to show what they know and to advocate for their learning. As a Learning Coach you are giving them the tools for learning, the teacher is guiding the learning, and the student is showing their current level of understanding.
Not everything will come easy when learning new content. Growth does not occur without a productive struggle. Remember you can contact the teacher to discuss how to best support your child at home.
