March Newsletter
K-Beach Elementary School
A Message from Mrs. Van Slyke
Here at K-Beach Elementary, we love to focus on the positive. For me, near the top of the list of positives is pausing to enjoy the many wonderful things that our students have been learning this year. Please take a moment to read through this newsletter and help us celebrate some of the tremendous things that our staff and students have been busy accomplishing. Remember to take time to acknowledge some of your student's outstanding work as there was much to be excited about. We are looking forward to another incredible month of learning at K-Beach!

End-of-Day Arrangements
Before each school year begins, we require parents/guardians inform the office staff of how your child will get home on a typical school day. This will be the permanent way your child gets home each day unless you notify the office otherwise. If your child enrolls in an extracurricular activity at K-Beach, it is the responsibility of the parent to call the office each day that the club meets to notify them that your child will be staying after school and not following their typical plan to get home.
End of day messages or changes for students should be limited. Please call the school prior to 1:30 p.m. After 1:30 p.m., we are busy preparing students to go home and there may not be anyone available to answer your call or time to relay your message.
Balancing Act
Please provide the district feedback for creating a balanced budget for the 2024-2025 school year using the Balance Act Link below.
Parking Lot Safety
Please help us ensure that our parking lot is as safe as possible by keeping your child in your car until 7:30am. Our staff arrives on duty at 7:30 to help students cross safely. When students are let out of cars before then, it increases the risk of a child being hit. Our goal is to keep everyone safe and we need your help!
