Royal Proclamation of 1763
by:Mckenzie Terry
The Royal Proclamation of 1763 is trying to create peace between the indians and the english men. For instance the englishmen said,"We strictly require. That no private person do presume to make any purchase from the said indians of any lands reserved to the said indians."The document was created to say that the Indians get to keep their land and no one can trade or expand for their land. No one can own a house in the Native land, if someone did they would have an illegal house and would have to move out immediately.
Virginia owns many plantations to produce tobacco, because of this they need labor. Most of their labor is from West Africa or the Caribbeans .If they Expand into the west they will receive more plantations, so they will need more labor. The more labor Virginia takes the more it affects the Caribbean and West African communities. When Virginia does not have as much labor their productivity is low.Tobacco is Virginia's cash crop so if they can't produce a lot of tobacco they won't get a lot of money.
The French can not expand westward because they are allowing the indians to have their space, in the french and indian war they killed so many of the french because they were expanding. As a result of no expansion they receive no more plantations to grow their cash crop, tobacco. This affects the economic system because their whole economy is based off of tobacco production, which is provided by the slaves, which affect the community in West Africa. If one thing goes wrong it affects the whole system.
Royal Proclamation of 1763 affected the economic system in Virginia by lowering their productivity in Tobacco. The Proclamation of 1763 kept the french safe from the indians because the indians get to keep their land.As well it lowered the production of everything allowing it to majorly affect the Virginia Colony
