Big Picture Forming
Good job! You’re above average in your self-awareness. The blinders are coming off, but the big picture is still forming. Keep going! You’ve gained a lot of insight and had plenty of aha moments in your life. There are details missing that will serve as keys to moving on to enlightenment.
Practice Saying No to Yourself
Saying No to Five Things in One Day
1. Giving up media at meals and stoplights.
So this challenge was particularly on my radar. One of my rules at meal times is not be on media. I set out to deliberately participate not only in meal times, but while driving. I mean I have to up the ante, for myself, right? I am famous for sitting at a stop light and checking texts, or twitter and fb notifications. Not good. And recently found it was against the law.
2. Saying no to Sweet Tea
This momma thrives on her sweet tea. No coffee for me in the mornings, but now a sweet tea, that is where I get my mojo. However, it's not only loaded with calories, but this gal loves me some CFA Sweet Tea. Not very budget friendly, when frequented often. Getting this treat down to once a week is much more palatable. Figuratively and literally.
3. Saying no to sitting on the computer- and yes to a run
Being conscious of working out on a regular basis. I can easily get lazy and say to myself, just one more email, or one more thing on the computer and before I know the time has passed for my early morning work-outs. I do feel better and have a much more productive day when I am able to be disciplined to fit it in.
4. Saying no to fb
Facebook is just not good for me. The real social fb, the one 99% of the world uses, just brings me down personally. I have a problem thinking that everyone else's life is so much better than mine. Seriously, I know that isn't true, however the more I read it the more I think it. Having a fast from fb would be a really good thing. I have heard that you can just subscribe to groups on your phone, so I wouldn't have to have the app and wouldn't miss important fb group stuff.
5. Saying no to sweets/chocolate (note the background: macaroons - oh yum)
Staying away from chocolate and dessert type foods would be huge. Denying self the indulgence of a Dove bar when I have a bad day or feeling angry. Rather than eat something bad, the focus needs to be on a fruit or going for a walk or listening to a
