Students of the Month
Brain Bowl
A group of students from Fernwood Avenue Middle School competed in the Annual Brain Bowl that was hosted at St. Augustine Preparatory School with Ms. Kupcinski on Oct. 28th. Students answered questions in the following categories: Science, Math, History, Arts, Pop Culture, and Music. The students did a FANTASTIC job and answered 52 out of the 60 questions correctly. #EHTPRIDE
Cell Cycle
Advanced Science students in Mrs. Flesch's 7th grade class created a variety of projects demonstrating their creativity and scientific knowledge of the cell cycle. The projects included multimedia posters, a clay model, presentations, and a video news briefing. Thank you for your efforts and teamwork, Silver Team students!
Amazon virtual Tour
Students in Coding 1 classes attended a live virtual tour of an Amazon fulfilment center out of Texas. They learned that Amazon calls their warehouses fulfillment centers because the entire process is fulfilled from start to finish—inventory comes in from manufacturers and is shipped out directly to customers. On the tour, students were able to see what happens behind the scenes when you shop on Amazon. Students learned how algorithms were used and saw that robots helped optimize the supply chain and improve the customer experience. Students were asked trivia questions through the tour. One of them was what the quickest amount of time an order went from a customer placing an order to delivery. The answer was 30 minutes!
Cell Organelles Model
Mrs. Gibson's 7th Grade students also made models of cells organelles. Great job kids!!!
French Fundamentals
Fundamentals 7 and Fundamentals 8 students spent the day before Fall Break working on a directed drawing of pumpkins that they could put their own twist on in the end! Once their pumpkin was drawn, the students wrote a short paragraph about their pumpkin, giving it a name, telling us its colors, and telling us a cool fact about their pumpkin. It was a fun way to practice material that we have been working on!

National French Week
National French Week, a week-long celebration of all things French, took place November 3-9. In order to showcase all of the wonderful things the French community has contributed to the world and our school community, the Fundamentals 8, Honors 7, and Honors 8 students teamed up to create an amazing "mural" outside our classroom high-lighting various famous French icons, French industries, French foods, and French sayings. If anyone is by the gym, we encourage you to read the mural - it has a bunch of easy-to-read facts, all created by our students. Special thanks to Ms. Wyatt's Orchestra students for showcasing famous French composers! Amazing job by all!
