Every college-bound senior needs to complete the FREE Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you have not completed the FAFSA, The Educational Opportunity Center at Midlands Tech will help you. You do not have to be attending Midlands Tech to use this service.

Lexington District One Educational Office Professionals Scholarship

Lexington Woman's Club Scholarship

The members of the Lexington Woman's Club are pleased to be able to present a scholarship again this year to a graduating senior (male or female) who plans to enter the field of education. Students at all Lexington One high schools are eligible to apply.
The amount of the scholarship changes from year to year, depending on funds raised.

Make Your Mark: Coach Mark Gerald Student Leader Scholarship

To be eligible for this award, applicants must:
● demonstrate at school, at the workplace, and within the community
the attributes of leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship;
● demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade
point average/4.0 scale or equivalent);
● demonstrate financial need;
● be citizens of the United States of America;
● be current high school seniors attending high school in the United
States (students living on U.S. Armed Forces base and home
schooled students are also eligible); and
● plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study toward a
bachelor’s degree at an accredited four-year college or university or
technical college
● in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.
Paige Erin Marie Widmer Scholarship

Honoring our "Heroes'' Children Scholarship
Amount: $2,000

Scholarship Selection Process:
The Honoring our Heroes’ Children Scholarship seeks to provide educational assistance to
children, who have at least (1) one parent currently serving or who previously served in the
U.S. Armed Forces OR have at least (1) one parent who volunteers or is employed as a First
Responder*. The scholarship must be used for higher education expenses for a student who
will attend a two or four-year university.
*First Responder includes: Fire/EMS/911/Law Enforcement
SCAAA/NIAAA Scholarship

Eligibility
- Applicant must be a Senior
- Applicant must have achieved at least two (2) of the following:
(A) minimum of B+ average;
(B) Ranked in the top 25% of class;
(C) ACT score of 24 or an SAT score of 1100 (Math and Reading)
- Applicant must have participated in two sports for at least two years in each sport
- Applicant must have earned at least one varsity letter in each of two sports
- Applicant must complete attached scholar/essay application
- Applicant must have a letter of recommendation from the high school athletic administrator/director
- School athletic director must be an NIAAA member and a member of their respective state athletic administrators association
- The principal or athletic director must sign the application to insure that the academic information submitted is accurate
- All hard copy materials must be postmarked or electronic materials sent to the NIAAA State Liaison in your respective state by your states deadline.
George Rogers Foundation of the Carolinas Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be a:
- South Carolina Resident
- First-generation college student - defined as a student whose parent(s) have not graduated from an institute of higher education with a four-year degree
- High school senior or a currently enrolled full-time undergraduate student.
Applicants must submit:
- An official transcript indicating a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better
- Admissions acceptance letter OR college registration documentation indicating full-time enrollment at an accredited four-year U.S. institution for the entire academic year. Unfortunately, students applying to or enrolled at online or proprietary schools are not eligible
- Two letters of recommendation from a high school/college faculty member, school counselor, employer, or church leader
- One letter of affirmation from a parent/guardian stating the applicant is the first person in his/her family to attend college
Midlands Technical College Foundation Scholarships

The Senator Katrina Shealy Scholarship

Sigma Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Scholarship

- Two letters of recommendation from educators/adults (non-family members)
- Two pages (maximum) doubled-spaced typed essay on how your higher educational experience will make an impact on your community involvement

Paula Rawl Calhoon Scholarship

Tywanza Sanders Legacy Scholarships

The Lindsey Pilkington Memorial Scholarship
Amount: $500

The Lindsey Pilkington Memorial Scholarship shall be awarded to a qualifying student attending an accredited 2 or 4 year College program.
The qualifying student must meet the following three requirements:
- Be a female graduating from a high school in Lexington County, SC
- Have at least a 2.7 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Be enrolled in an accredited 2 or 4 year college program pursuing a degree in a Computer and/or IT program.
The student must provide:
- A completed application
- An official transcript showing GPA eligibility.
- A 500-word essay about why they are interested in a Computer and/or IT program.
The Michael Bryan Foundation Scholarship

SCCSS Clio Scholarship

The SCCSS annually recognizes a high school senior who plans to pursue a career as a K-12 social studies educator. Winning students will receive the following:

Christian Connector, Inc Scholarship Drawing
Amount: $2,500

The scholarship runs each year from June 1st through May 31st. The drawing winner of each scholarship is selected at random and The Christian Connector, Inc. reserves the right to change the random drawing selection process at any point. Individuals must meet the below guidelines in order to be eligible to receive the scholarship.
Drawing Guidelines:
- The scholarship recipient must have plans to enroll for the first time as a full-time student at a Christ-centered Christian college or Bible college within 16 months of being notified by The Christian Connector, Inc. that he/she has won the drawing.
- The Christian Connector, Inc. reserves the right to make the determination of whether or not a particular school qualifies. Any school that is a member of the CCCU, NACCAP or ABHE automatically qualifies.
- The scholarship recipient may not currently be enrolled at a Christian college or Bible college.
- The scholarship will not be sent to the individual recipient, but rather it will be sent directly to the school of choice, meeting the above criteria.
- An individual cannot enter the scholarship drawing more than once, however, he/she may use the request form and Christian Connector services as often as they wish.
- By completing the information request form, the winner of the scholarship allows their name, city and state to be used on the site and in promotional materials, announcing that he/she is a Christian Connector scholarship recipient.
Should the initial randomly selected individual(s) not meet the above guidelines for the scholarship drawing entered, the scholarship will be forfeited and offered to another individual until a selected individual who meets the above guidelines is awarded the appropriate scholarship.
The Caring.com Scholarship

At Caring.com, we understand the demanding lifestyle of student-caregivers and the challenges they may face. The Student-Caregiver Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who are caring for an adult relative while enrolled in college.
Two scholarships of $1,500 are awarded each year to student-caregivers to help cover costs of tuition and books. Applicants must be full-time college students at an accredited two-or-four-year college or university in the United States, or full-time high school students who are registered to attend a qualifying institution the following semester.
How to Apply
Interested students can submit either a 1,500-word essay or a two-minute video addressing the following questions:
- Who are you caring for and how are you involved as their caregiver?
- How has your role as a caregiver influenced the decision for your major/career path?
- How would this scholarship be helpful to you in your current student-caregiving role?
