Our Project Fit equipment on Warwick's recess yard will be caution taped off by the district for safety reasons over the weekend. A recent inspection was completed by the district and the equipment has been deemed unsafe. It is unable to be repaired. This equipment will be removed within the next few weeks. We have purchased more recess balls and other recess materials to make sure students have other things to do at recess. Thank you for your support in keeping our students safe on the recess yard.
I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!

Autism Awareness Month T-shirt Sale
Dear Warwick Families,
We are getting a jumpstart on our fundraising for Autism Awareness Month! This year we are going to sell shirts to help raise awareness. Attached is a picture of the shirt, as well as a sizing chart on the reverse side. The shirt is a black short sleeve tee-shirt with multicolor wording. There is a no return/exchange policy, so please refer to the chart for the correct sizing. Shirts will cost $13.00. Cash or checks are accepted. Please make checks payable to Warwick Student Activities. All proceeds will be donated to the Autism Cares Foundation as well as Benergy. Benergy is a company started by Ben, an adult with autism that loves to motivate students. Ben started his public speaking journey after raising money for the Eagles Autism Awareness Challenge, he was even on The Ellen Show! Ben will be coming to Warwick to talk to our students in April. Learn more on his website, https://www.benergy1.com . Autism Cares’ mission is to partner with individuals and families living on the autism spectrum and to provide integrative resources for life enrichment in a safe and respectful environment. The foundation is focused on improving the life experiences of children and young adults with autism today. To have the shirts here in time for April, order forms and money are due on Wednesday, March 2. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Meredith Fay at merfay@cbsd.org.
*Paper copies of the order form will come home with students on Tuesday, February 22nd.
Sincerely,
The Warwick Autistic Support Team

Boomerang Award Nominations
The Boomerang Youth Recognition Award is a district-wide monthly program which recognizes and honors youth in our community for exemplifying and living by one of the chosen Developmental Assets® for the school year.
Each year, more than 1,000 elementary, middle, and high school students from Central Bucks School District are nominated for the Boomerang Award. District winners serve as a model to all students in the district, receive school recognition, and are announced in the Bucks County Herald and the Backpack Newsflash, a monthly publication of CB Cares that is distributed to all CBSD children.
Anyone can nominate a student for the Boomerang Youth Recognition Award.

Sparks - February
As part of the State mandate for career education, all Pennsylvania students are to receive information on the various pathways available to them to pursue their interests including post-secondary education, the world of work or the military. As one part of this we have developed a long-standing relationship with the local Career Technical Center, Middle Bucks Institute of Technology.
At the high school level, our students can spend half of their school day at MBIT in classrooms and program laboratories receiving specific training in areas such as horticulture or electronics. While in the middle school grades, students attend presentations about the many programs which can lead to visits or even shadowing a current student in programs such as commercial art or dental occupations. Summer school programs are also conducted in many areas of interest including Drone Discovery and Pastry Art.
Over the last few years, we have also shared information with our elementary students through in-person tours (when permitted) and most recently real-time virtual panels and visits given by the current MBIT students to our sixth-grade classes. These tours are scheduled again for this May.
Take a tour yourself and find out more about the many opportunities available to the Central Bucks students.
