Principal's Message
Hello Preschool families! Happy Friday!
The students have continued having so much fun with their learning this week. Students are learning about and having fun with Cameras and exploring about insects. So much fun!
Please be sure you have provided your child’s teacher with an extra set of clothing that is appropriate for the warmer weather. Also, continue to dress your child in layers so he/she may be comfortable no matter what the TN weather may bring.
One reminder: Please remember that students are not permitted to wear flip-flops or other shoes that do not have a back on them. This is for your child’s safety. We appreciate your cooperation!
Our annual Child Find and Pre-K Round-up will continue next week. We have enjoyed meeting our incoming families and look very forward to next year. This our largest student recruiting event, and we look forward to meeting with our new families. We are enrolling now for next school year. Please spread the word to your friends and family that the time is here to enroll for preschool for next year!
If you are a returning family next year (your 3-year-old moving to our 4-year-old class), you will receive information regarding the procedure and necessary documents so that your child may continue to be enrolled with us next year.
If your child will be moving on to Kindergarten, you will be receiving directions to help you apply to do so. This is all done electronically through Skyward. Watch for details soon!
Have a wonderful weekend!

From Nurse Kelly
Hello parents! Please be on the lookout for forms from Nurse Kelly. If your child has an expired or soon to expire physical, medical release forms are being sent home to allow Nurse Kelly to get a copy of the new physical date. If you know that your child has not had their new yearly physical/well child appointment, please make the appointment and include the date on the medical release form as well. You also have the option to get the form yourself from the pediatrician. You just need to ask them for the "state form" for school.
Parents of rising kindergarteners: if your child has not had a well child/physical appointment this year (2024) they will need one for kindergarten registration.
Also, please be on the lookout for dental exam forms. If you receive one or have already received one, please complete the high lighted portion and return it ASAP. If your child for any reason does not have a dentist, please contact me at kcjones@ortn.edu or call 865-425-9101. Thanks!
