Interesting facts of proteins and what they do for the body
Proteins supply enrgy to the body, and are needed to build new cells and repair injured ones. Complete proteins are called complete because they contain all 9 amino acids and the right amount. Incomplete proteins lack one or more of the essential amino acids. Complementary Proteins are two or more incomplete protein sources that together provide adequate amounts of all the essential amino acids.
Major Sources of Proteins and What Happens if you get to little or too much of Proteins
You can get major sources of proteins from animals, dairy products, spinach, and soy beans. You can gain weight, have intestinal irritation, increase in liver enzymes, increase risk of heart disease, and seizures from eating too much protein. Also, you can have frequent infections, mscle wasting, weakness, fatigue, unexplained weight loss, and slow growth from not etting enough proteins in the body.
