Morton Ranch Elementary
December 5, 2023
Dear Maverick Families,
As we approach the festive season, we are excited to spread joy and gratitude throughout our school community. To make this holiday season extra special for our dedicated staff, we are organizing a Staff Holiday Gift Basket Donation Drive.
We kindly invite you to contribute to this initiative by donating holiday gift baskets (or items to be included in a basket) for our hardworking and devoted staff members. Baskets will be given away on December 15th.
You may donate individual items (if you want us to add it to a themed basket) OR you may donate the entire basket with all the items inside.
Your thoughtful gesture will surely make a meaningful impact and bring smiles to their faces during this festive time. If you are interested in participating, please click on the link below and sign-up to donate.
All gift baskets should be dropped off to the MRE front office by December 13th. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Thank you for considering this opportunity to share the holiday spirit with our amazing staff. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Wishing you and your family a joyful holiday Season!

Your child will have the opportunity to purchase holiday gifts for friends, family, and teachers at low prices.
Prices range from twenty-five cents to sixteen dollars. To make it easy, you can purchase GIFT CERTIFICATES online for your child. This allows students to make purchases without keeping up with cash!
As we approach the holiday season, our teachers are beginning to prepare for our annual winter parties at MRE. The Winter parties will be held on Friday, December 15th. Because this is an early dismissal day, we will need to limit the parties to students only.
There will be no outside visitors on this day due to logistical and safety reasons. Having a half day of school poses some challenges in terms of accommodating a larger crowd, and we want to ensure the safety and security of all students and staff during the winter parties. Limiting the party to students only will help us manage the number of people in the building at one time, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
I understand that family participation is an important part of all school events, and I appreciate the enthusiasm and support from all of our parents. Rest assured, we will continue to organize various events throughout the school year that provide opportunities for family involvement. Be on the lookout for information regarding our upcoming STEM Night (December 14th) and International Night (February 8th).
I hope for your understanding and cooperation regarding this adjustment. My priority is always the safety and well-being of our students, and I believe this decision aligns with that commitment.
Thank you for understanding, and we look forward to creating a festive and enjoyable winter party experience for our MRE students.
