PRINCIPALLY SPEAKING
Had we known a few days ago what we know now, I would have contact Guinness Book of World Records. We may have conducted the longest parade in history!
Kidding aside, I am sorry that our parade took so long. We finally finished yesterday afternoon afternoon. Day one included two groups driving for 5.5 hours. Day two included one group driving another three hours. Over 100 families requested visits, and we made it to all but two homes (who had to cancel on day 2). The teachers enjoyed this almost as much as the children, and there have been photos and videos floating around social media as well as the Wednesday evening news on channel 2 who did a great story on it. So many of you emailed me your appreciation and photos. Thank you so much for those! Please share your images and videos with others, so they know how selfless and caring our staff is. They were only too happy to give up nine hours and a tank of gas to come and see you all!
These times feel like Lent. It feels like Good Friday today. Let's remember to turn our anxiety and concerns to prayer. God knows our prayers before we say them. God knows our needs better than we do. Nonetheless, please let's remember to turn to God especially this Holy Week!
Our community has been so supportive of our staff and one another. The examples of kindness of compassion that I have witnessed are beautiful and befitting of Holy Week. Thank you for being positively family toward one another! I can tell you, too, that the staff and I will continue to discern how we can help serve and lead our family not only in terms of curriculum and instruction but with regard for spiritual, mental, and emotional wellness as well. In fact, you can expect another fun digital greeting from us in the next few days!
God bless you, all!
Zach
