Shining Stars: Celebrating Our March Student Leaders
Braelyn Miller
Braelyn is a wonderful friend and classmate. She is the perfect example of treating others the way she wants to be treated. Braelyn is always helping others, especially when they are in need. She is constantly asking others to work with her, cleaning the classroom without being asked, and being a team player. I love that Braelyn always has a smile on her face. In class, I can always count on Braelyn to be focused on the speaker, try her best at everything she does,
and want to learn. She is a great role model to others and I hope she continues to work hard and be herself!

Olivia Ferry
My nominee is Olivia Ferry. She comes to school prepared and ready to learn each day. She tries hard on all of her work, even when it is challenging. Olivia is a good friend to all of her classmates. She is eager to help teachers and students. I have seen Oliva work hard each day and stay focused on her school work. Olivia is a great example for other students. She is a true leader. Classmates can see how to be a leader by being kind, respectful, and hardworking by watching Olivia.

Classroom Volunteer Form Deadline
Anyone interested in volunteering in the classroom must submit the volunteer form by April 1st. This will allow us enough time to process the applications. If you have already submitted a form this year, you will not need to do so again until next year.
Morning Intervention Adjustments
After Spring Break, we will be pausing before school interventions to allow students the opportunity to enjoy some physical activity in the morning. We believe that starting their day with some exercise, which can have numerous benefits for their overall well-being and academic performance.
Rest assured, we are not eliminating the intervention programs; instead, we will be integrating some of the programming into our intervention time that is already built into the school day. For students who are interested in continuing their learning activities in the morning, the cafeteria will remain open for students to work on iXL, Imagine Learning or to silent read.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we strive to create a well-rounded educational environment. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these changes, please feel free to reach out. Thank you for your continued partnership in your child's education.
Early Student Pick-Up Instructions
If you need to pick your student up early from school, anytime after 2:30, please park on the road and not in the drive close to the school. Our buses use the drive closest to the school, and you will not be able to get out until the buses leave.
Delayed Start Drop-off
On delayed start days, our dedicated staff come together in teams to engage in learning and planning aimed at ensuring student success. Please note that classes will begin at 8:20. For the safety of your child, we kindly request that you refrain from dropping them off before 7:35, as adult supervision will not be available until that time. Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all students.

March’s Reading Month Festivities
By Cooper Carpenter and Kayden Smith
To kick off March is Reading Month all of the teachers rotated around to every classroom and gave a two-minute commercial for their favorite books. Many students created a reading list for the rest of the month based on the teachers commercials. We had to buy more copies of books.
For March’s reading month, each classroom created different destinations that students could choose to read at. Mrs Snellenberger has a coffee shop called “Snelly’s Coffee Shop,” which the students from her class designed. If you visit the coffee shop you get lemonade, which is really good.
Our destinations include Tropical Getaways, The Great Outdoors, and Staycations. Miss Kus has Hawaii, which looks cool, in fact, there were a lot of Hawaii/tropical getaways, as well as camping/outdoors. The teachers that did Tropical were Mrs.Skidmore, Mrs.Harris, Miss. Kuss, Mr.Kehoe, Mrs.Parker, and last but not least Mrs. Norton and Mrs Gina. The teachers who did the ‘Great Outdoors” setting were Ms.Miner, Mrs.Kilburn, and Mrs.Coleman. Ms.Skirka was the only one who did underwater. Mrs.Butters, Mrs.Pierucki, and Mrs.Cranson all did front porch/staycation.
We also had other fun reading activities in the month such as Friday classroom Book Shares, the Book Fair and you cannot forget “stop, drop, and read.” Each classroom had many guest readers from Varsity Club students at the high school, community members, and even Mrs. Wall went to 12 different classrooms.
