Thank You!
This can be a time of high stress for many, especially given the scares of last week. Please remember that we have a robust set of systems district-wide to ensure student and staff safety. And our relationships with our students and families is one of the most critical. Along with staff trained in QPR, Emergency Response, a secure facility, and much more.
December 2nd PD Feedback
Thank you for taking time to complete the exit tickets. It appears from the feedback that staff found the math discourse session very useful and left with ideas on how they can create more robust and authentic discourse in their classrooms. Staff also noted that they appreciated the conversation around minors and would like to continue calibrating on how they are used. We will continue this conversation as we move toward greater alignment.
Communication with Students: Learning Targets & Success Criteria
One of the components of our evaluation rubric is communication with students. See this link for language from the rubric. Part of this communication consists of clearly defining what the lesson objective is and what student mastery looks like otherwise called learning targets with success criteria.

Great things are happening at JME!
4th Grade team was creative in supporting students when there was no substitute.
Ms. Peate taught kindergarten when there was no sub available.
Ms. Bugni ensured everyone was supported all week long.
Ms. Flynn helped students problem solve using Kelso.
Ms. Berry was attentive to the needs of her students and thinking through all possibilities.
And so much more!
