Rock Hill Review
May 3, 2020
Opening Up
It's hard to believe that the calendar has already rolled over to May and even harder to believe that we are finishing out the school year under these circumstances! The one bright spot through all of this is that we have been able to continue to connect with our students, parents and staff who will be coming to "The Hill" next year! This week we had several meetings with our staff to start lining out our plans for the summer, beginning of the year and throughout the year. A key theme throughout all of these meetings was how to continue the momentum we currently have with opening of Rock Hill and sustain that throughout the year to make it the most memorable experience for everyone involved. We have such a great group of educators who are constantly coming up with ideas and plans to make this happen and I'm thankful for everything they are already doing to make this a reality!
We were also able to hold our FIRST EVER RHHS Staff meeting, that included everyone currently working for Prosper ISD as well as those that will be new to Prosper ISD! I will say that I, like a lot of other things in our world right now, did not envision this happening through a Zoom meeting but we did have a great time and were able to start creating those meaningful relationships that we will need to lay the foundation for an incredible school!
We are once again reaching out to our students for ideas. The topic over the next few weeks will be what they envision for spirit weeks during the fall sports season. Naturally, this typically follows closely with football and our goal is to have a theme each week based on which team we are playing. Our Student Council and Cheerleaders are taking the lead on collecting ideas and those ideas will be sent out to the entire student population for a final vote. I can say without a doubt it has been a joy to see the creativity of our kids giving their input. We are excited about all of the incredible students coming our way!
Thank you for all your support along the way and as always, if you need anything please do not hesitate to reach out. Have a great week and stay well!

Student Council Interest Survey
A CORE group on campus will be our Student Council. We have two incredible individuals, Taylour Reeder and Shannon Slade who will be teaming up this year to lead this organization. Coach Reeder is coming from Corpus Christi ISD where she was the Student Council Sponsor for her campus. Mrs. Slade is coming over from Frisco Independence High School where she also served as the Student Council Sponsor. They have some AMAZING ideas for this group and I can't wait to see all the great things they do next year!
