Week of Dec. 3-7
Math
In math this week (and the week after), we will be focusing heavily on geometry vocabulary and what the terms mean. Students will be able to draw and identify points, lines, line segments, rays, angles, and perpendicular and parallel lines.
We will also be looking at classify quadrilaterals and triangles based on angle measure, side lengths, and the presence or absence of parallel or perpendicular lines.
Have your child look for examples of these things within your home or while out and about in town!
Types of Triangles
Students will learn to identify triangles by sides and angles.
Quadrilaterals (any 4 sided shape)
Students will learn how to identify quadrilaterals and how some could be named more than on way.
Angles
Students will learn to identify the three types of angles.
