Intentional corruption of the truth in order to persuade another to part with something of value or to surrender a legal right.
Phishing & Smishing:
A fake email or text or message that asks for personal or account information.
Retail/Auction Fraud:
Buying something online and never receiving the item.
Work at Home:
Paying for a kit with easy components that allow an "easy" job at home.
How to aviod fraud:
-Don't reply to emails that request personal information.
-Research institutions; customer reviews.
-If it looks too good to be true, there may be something wrong.
