⇨ A Reminder from the Library Regarding IAR Testing ⇦
Students often have time for silent reading after completing their test sessions. Due to District safety protocols, students have limited access to books at school. While students may currently request books from the library, it is suggested that they bring something to read from home to use after testing. Delivery of a library book to the CORE 1 class before the daily test sessions begin cannot be guaranteed. Library staff are committed to filling as many student book requests as possible. Please remind your middle schooler to bring a book from home so that they have something to read after testing.
If additional information is needed, please email Jessica Smith, Middle School Library Director. jasmith@d47.org
Scenes From A Quarantine
Our drama students have been working hard over the past almost 3 months to prepare Scenes From A Quarantine for production here at RBMS! With the help of a non-profit organization created to help school drama programs, we will be having our first ever (and possibly not last!) on-demand streaming play!
Scenes From A Quarantine is 12 short vignettes featuring our students, all focused on different aspects of the different phases of last year's stay-at-home order. Tickets are available now, and the streaming of the production will begin at 9 a.m. on April 30. If you purchase a ticket, you will receive a link for streaming which, once clicked, will allow you to watch the show as many times as you want within a 24-hour window. Individual tickets are $10, family tickets are $30, and large group (i.e. a full class) are $50. This is to help offset our licensing costs, and to recoup some of our money that was lost with last year's canceled production.
In addition, we're selling all kinds of fun merchandise featuring the play art designed by Mrs. Rosenbloom's very talented brother in law! You can order online, and all items will come packed and sealed, directly to school. There is a personalization option available for the full-zip hoodies, and face masks will be available on the site this afternoon as well.

Attached is an article that helps parents create boundaries in your home for cell phone use.
