2019/20 Textbook and Consumable Fees Update
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are writing today to inform you that the Griffith Public Schools fee portal is now open. This year, the opening of the fee portal was delayed due to unforeseen challenges we have been facing. Some of the challenges that we have faced is a change in personnel and issues with our software. Unfortunately, we are still experiencing some software issues, but we have and are continuing to work diligently with our software providers to resolve these issues. Through it all, our Griffith community has been very patient and understanding. For this, Griffith Public Schools would like to say, “Thank You”.
To access the online student fee portal please go to the E-funds website at https://payments.efundsforschools.com/v3/districts/56262/. Once on the website, please follow the prompts to access your student’s fees. Since we are still experiencing some software issues, we are urging all to carefully review the fees according to the classes your child is enrolled in. If there are any discrepancies, please call the Bookkeeper at (219) 924-4250 ext. 1004. All discrepancies will be handled on an individual basis.
Again, thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
Griffith Public Schools
Our First eLearning Day is Tuesday, November 5th!
Our vision for education at Griffith Public Schools is easy! Student learning is filled with Curiosity + Creativity + Innovation and it can happen anytime...anywhere! Technology is one of the many resources we have available to assist us with student learning!
Since technology is available, we are able to expand student learning beyond the four walls of a school building. Student learning can happen anywhere and anytime. As we looked at the issues which comes with Election Day, Griffith Public Schools is choosing to have our first eLearning Day for 2019/20 school year on November 5, 2019. Teachers will be in attendance that day, supporting and guiding the student learning via online and virtually. This day will not only provide practice for our students and staff, but it will also determine what changes need to be made to ensure an effective eLearning Day in the future, such as when school may be cancelled due to weather.
To prepare for our first eLearning Day, our teachers and students have been busy! On October 1st, our students and staff participated in their First Practice eLearning Day. This day was a success for all! Students were in school that day to learn with the teachers on how eLearning will work for him/her while at home. This was a guided practice day for both the teacher and student with lots of support provided by all!
On October 15th, this will be our Second Practice eLearning Day. Students and teachers will both be in attendance that day. This will be the second day in which the students can practice getting onto his/her eLearning work with the guidance and support of the teachers.
On November 5th, this will be our First eLearning Day which is Election Day. Please plan accordingly!
It is the plan of Griffith Public Schools to utilize eLearning days for 2019/20 school year so that we can utilize these on missed school days, Professional Development, election days, etc…
Please contact your child's teacher and/or school, if you have any questions.
