Bulldog Bytes
Rolla High School -- April 2024
** FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK **
I hope everyone had a restful spring break. We have entered what I call the “dog days of the school year”. Everyone begins the anticipation of the end of the school year because it is tantalizingly close. However, there is still much to be done between now and the last day of school.
We have already started the process of testing our students. We completed the ACT for juniors and ASVAB for sophomores last month. This month will be filled with the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) End of Course Exams for students in Algebra I, English II, biology, and/or government. Our Advanced Placement (AP) courses will also take place towards the end of the month. Check with your student on their respective testing responsibilities so you can support them through this process.
April is filled with end of the year activities. Please be sure to check our daily announcements for details on upcoming activities. Allow me to highlight the spaghetti dinner benefit for Mr. Jason Bartelsmeyer on April 12th, which will include silent and live auction items.
Senior parents - Cap and Gown pick up will take place the morning of April 11th at RHS. Feel free to contact the main office for any questions regarding payment balances. Senior Awards Night will take place in the RHS Fieldhouse on Thursday, April 25. Thousands of dollars in scholarships will be awarded and we will have the opportunity to celebrate the achievement of our students. I would encourage you to keep up with our daily announcements for all upcoming senior requirements and events.
Please feel free to contact my office with any questions. Have a great April.

Why am I getting an attendance notification?
When a student is marked absent and the attendance office doesn’t receive a reason, parents are sent an email making them aware of an unexcused absence. Parents may reply to the email (make sure you include your student's full name) letting the office know why they are absent. Parents can sign up for notification on the parent portal, as well. Instructions on signing up are posted below.
Reporting an Absence? Leaving School Early?
STUDENTS: If you are leaving school early, or arriving late, please remember to check in/out through the Attendance Office in the lower commons area.
** STUDENT DRIVERS **
Student Parking Passes
If your student is driving to school, a parking pass is required. Passes are available in the Main Office for $5 or online at myschoolbucks.com in the School Store.
