Student Vaccine Clinics Available – Summer 2021
The Florida Department of Health in Pasco County is teaming up with Pasco County Schools and Health Hero to offer free COVID-19 vaccinations to Pasco County children age 12 and older. Vaccinations also will be made available to children’s eligible family members. Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to receive the vaccine.
Students who are fully vaccinated may avoid being quarantined and excluded from the classroom due to exposure. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says that if a fully vaccinated individual has been around someone who has COVID-19, they are not required to stay away from others or get tested unless they have symptoms.
The Pfizer vaccine will be available at several school locations around the county on June 21, 22, and 23. Appointments are required to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.

What is the Florida Consent Decree?
The Consent Decree is the state of Florida's framework for compliance with federal and state laws and jurisprudence regarding the education of English Language Learner (ELL) students.
The Consent Decree addresses the civil rights of ELL students, foremost among their right to equal access to all education programs. In addressing these rights, the Consent Decree provides a structure that ensures the delivery of the comprehensible instruction to which ELL students are entitled.

Imagine Learning Throughout the Summer
Students can log in using their student number through MyPascoConnect through July 31st, 2021. Imagine Learning can be accessed from most electronic devices that have access to the internet. This will give them the opportunity to practice their oral language and literacy skills.
Language and Literacy is a major intervention for our English Learners with a proficiency level of 1 or 2 in WIDA ACCESS.
Students who earn 240+ minutes of usage between June 7th and July 31st will be automatically entered to participate in a contest for a solar-powered backpack filled with school supplies!
