FAQs
Do we incorporate Mindfulness in our schools?
Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
~ Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL)
As a district, we are committed to developing the social and emotional literacy of our students as a means to foster emotional intelligence and promote lifelong health and wellness. Our comprehensive K-12 approach includes school-wide experiences, health instruction, and extra-curricular programs. We have and will continue to provide professional development that supports experiences with Mindfulness, as well as Social Emotional Regulation Techniques, and developing a Growth Mindset.
Would there be any chance of having a Mindfulness Workshop that we could attend with our children?
