Black Boy & Civil Rights
Joshua Jones Alize' Stevenson
Introduction
This presentation is a display of images comparing the novel "Black Boy" and others to the Civil Rights era.
DEFENSELESS!
Several white men pounce on and proceed to beat a single and obviously defenseless african- american male.
Vicious
It seems an innocent black man needs a police K-9 unit as they attack.
Starved!
A truly frightening image as a young black boy is left deserted, and starving in the wild.
Black=Hunger
A prime example of segregation and the epitome of the fight for civil rights, a black man is left unfed becauseof the color of his skin.
Uneducated
Youth students in Africa struggle to receive an above par education because of the conditions of the schools as well as several other reasons.
Lowest of Lows
During the civil rights era and farther back, if you were unfortunate enough, as an African- American you may end up here for your source of education. WOW!
