Wondering about those Wildcats 2021
Updates and information about our Silliman Wildcats
A Word from the Principal
Congratulations to our Silliman Girls Softball team for finishing the 2021 season as the MAIS South State Champions as well as the Overall State Runners-up. Our girls fell just short in the state finals by dropping the final game of the series to Brookhaven. We are very proud of Coach Trae Weaver and all of the girls on the team.
Last week our Boys Cross Country team finished as State Runners-up in the MAIS State Meet. They have shown vast improvement throughout the season and had many personal bests at the state meet. Congratulations to Coaches James Cupit and Kaylan Ledet for a job well done.
As we approach the Thanksgiving Break, there are several important dates that parents should be aware of:
Monday, November 7th ends the Daylight Savings Time and clocks should move back one hour.
Tuesday, November 9th is our Progress Reports date. Parents will be able to access their child’s progress report on Renweb.
Monday, November 29th is the first day of our annual Book Fair. This event will last throughout the week.
The students and parents must be aware that when we return from the Thanksgiving break we will have only one week of regular classes and tests before we begin “dead week,” then followed by Mid-Term Exams. Therefore, the next three weeks will have an immense impact on our second-quarter grades.
