Concession

JCC Archery Flower Fundraiser
The JCC Archery team is holding a flower fundraiser to purchase 3D targets for our team. Orders can be placed directly online at jccsgfarchery.growingsmilesfundraising.com or paper form with cash or cheques (JCC SGF) can be brought in to the school office. All orders are due on April 25. Flowers will be delivered on May 14.
Archery
Thank you to the Bond and Heilman families for their generous donations to our archery program. Gregory and Gerald will be a great asset in helping our students with their 3D skills.
Sam Demma
Students in Grade 9-11 will be attending a presentation by Sam Demma at Morrin School this Friday, April 26 @ 10:30 am. Buses will be leaving JCC at 9:30 am and returning at 1:00 pm. Students are asked to pack a lunch.
Ned Show
Students in Grade 1-6 will be attending the Ned Show on Wednesday, May 1 from 2:00-2:45 pm in the North Gym. Ned's Mindset Mission is a character education program that centers around three important messages that have lifelong relevance: Never Give Up, Encourage Others and Do your best. During the assembly, students will learn about the importance of these three life skills while also enjoying storytelling, magic, humor and yo-yo tricks. Yo-yo's will be available for purchase from May 2-8. Our school received this assembly at no-cost because another school paid-it-forward to us. We want to pay-it -forward too, and you can help by purchasing a NED-messaged yo-top!

World of Choices
J. C. Charyk Hanna School is excited to be participating in World of Choices (WOC), organized through Jr. Achievement, in Red Deer on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. All Grade 11 students have been registered to participate in this event.
WOC will be held at Red Deer Polytechnic beginning at 9:00 AM. Students will have the opportunity to speak in groups with career mentors in different occupations. This event provides students with the opportunity to ask questions to people who are already working in careers that they are considering for their own futures.
Students will depart from JCC promptly at 6:30 AM. We will be traveling by school bus and should return at 5:30 PM. Lunch will be provided but if your child has any food allergies they will need to bring their own lunch. Space is limited (there is a waiting list), we don’t want to hold spaces that will not be filled.
