Jennifer Narcisco, MAAT is an art therapist. She completed her master's degree at Albertus Magnus College in 2015 and is currently working towards her licensure which includes art therapy registration (ATR), board certification (ATR-BC), and also is on the path to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She has worked with many different populations, including patients receiving hospice and palliative care from ages 10 to 99, at risk youth, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, children and adolescents. As an artist and art therapist, Jennifer uses her creativity to facilitate art therapy that enables a different form of self expression and communication where traditional talk therapy does not. Aside from visual art she holds yoga and movement sessions in groups or for individuals, and at times incorporates music. She has presented at the New England Music Therapy conference, assisted in curating two art shows, and offers a gallery experience at different art museums, which include MOMA, the Yale Art Gallery, and the Barker museum. She has also attended the American Art Therapy Association annual conference where she is submitting for presentation in 2017. She operates on the belief that everyone can engage in art making, no matter the limitation or past experience and loves to educate others on the field of art therapy.
