Oxygen, with the element symbol of "O", the atomic number is eight, the atomic mass number is sixteen. the number of neutrons is eight, and so is the number of electrons and protons. The first cloud has two electrons, and the second has six. Oxygen was discovered in 1774 by Joseph Piestley of England, and Carl Scheele of Sweden.

Oxygen is used for many things. It makes up two thirds of the human body, nine tenths of water, and we need this element to breath and function. It's a gas, a non-metallic, colorless element. On the periodic table, It's in the second row, and the sixteenth group. The colors are red protons, yellow neutrons, and green/blue electrons.
